Volvo cuts deeper into the forest at Elmia Wood
Volvo Construction Equipment will bring to the Elmia Wood Forestry Fair a wide ranging package of products and services for forest industry timber procurement and material handling - from access road building to bio-energy raw material harvesting.
Representing the purpose-built, tracked forestry carrier range will be the Volvo FC2121C equipped with a harvester head. Other forestry specific offerings will include the L180F High Lift and L120F wheel loaders with forestry attachments and the EC210C excavator with a stump harvesting attachment for biomass harvesting. For off-road transportation - demonstrating Volvo’s investment in energy efficient and environmentally sound forest machinery - is the EL14 hybrid forwarder with electric power train by El-Forest AB. The FH16 truck, with self loader, will represent the Volvo offering for on-road timber transportation. The ECR145CL will be demonstrating forest trenchingSoft wood offerings
The fleet management system CareTrack, other customer support offerings and Volvo Financial Services will all be in attendance at the show, reinforcing Volvo’s commitment to make every stage of the ownership experience easy. Furthermore, Volvo’s new Eco Operator training programme will be introduced at the show. The training gives operators the practical and theoretical knowledge they need to become safer, more efficient and environmentally conscious while operating equipment.
