LOGSET - FUEL ECONOMY TAKEN TO NEXT LEVEL
Fuel costs represent one of the largest items among contractor’s operating costs and it was on this platform that Logset presented their main selling message at Elmia Wood.
The world is moving toward environmentally friendly engines which produce the same performance as previous units but with lower emissions and lower fuel consumption. Logset displayed “Fuel Economy Corner” at Elmia demonstrating how their TOC® control system works together with Agco Sisu PowerT engines to produce optimized power and torque while keeping fuel consumption low.
Agco Sisu PowerT has developed custom made engine software for Logset in accordance with the requirements of forest machines. The software, together with Logset TOC® control software, optimizes fuel injection in accordance with prevailing load and need for hydraulic pressure and oil flow in various circumstances. The engine responds to changing conditions quickly to balance power, torque and engine revs.
Logset also presented a wide harvester head range at the exhibition. The 5L head with new bioenergy accessories suitable for energy wood harvesting was well received a unit in keeping with many exhibitors concentrating on the bioenergy theme. The smallest Logset heads, 4M and 5L, are capable of multiple stem handling as such but the new accessories for the 5L ensure even more productive energy wood harvesting enabling collection of a larger thinning bunch.Logset also displayed its Titan forwarders. The Titan cabin is ergonomically designed to maximise operator comfort contributing to high productivity in the forest. A spacious cabin, excellent sound insulation and automatic climate control are essential features of the high comfort level.
The low window line ensures the best visibility for the operator. The TOC® control system has been developed for the Titan-series in order to achieve optimal productivity and fuel consumption. The system allows individual settings for every operator.
