Logset appoint new Managing Director
Mr Pasi Nieminen has been appointed as Managing Director of Oy Logset Ab from June 1st 2010 M.Sc ( Eng ) Pasi Nieminen ( 34 ) has been appointed as a Managing Director of Oy Logset Ab starting from 01.06.2010. Earlier Mr Nieminen has worked as Sales Director of Logset and Managing Director of Logset UK Ltd since 2008, before that he has been working in various positions in different international technology companies.
Logset’s current Managing Director Mr Tapio Nikkanen has been appointed at the same time to be Chairman of the Board in both Oy Logset Ab and Pilomac Oy; he has also acquired a certain stake in Pilomac Oy from the old owners of Pilomac. As new board members of both Logset and Pilomac has been appointed, besides Nikkanen, Mr Jussi Länsiö, Mr Jukka Kivipelto and Mr Hannu Hakkarainen.
The owners of Pilomac together with our financiers have committed to develop the company and financial strength of Pilomac-Group improved significantly with these arrangements. We have a very good chance to develop Logset now.
According to Managing Director Pasi Nieminen year 2010 has started well and our order back log has improved all the time, most of the temporarily lay offs have been cancelled and our outlook for the rest of the year has clearly improved. “We have killed deep recession with our esteemed and competitive products, together with our trustworthy and long-term customers and excellent personnel. Logset’s new products like Titan-series forwarders and new measurement device for harvesters, TOC-MD, have been accepted very well by our customers and dealers.
This year is also remarkable exhibition year for forest machines. Logset will participate with our newest products all major exhibitions starting in June in France, and followed by Germany, Finland and UK”, says new Managing Director Mr Pasi Nieminen.
