DOLL Fahrzeugbau AG at the IAA 2010 Commercial Vehicles Show
- Timber transport vehicles - DOLL Fahrzeugbau is one of the most important manufacturers of timber transport vehicles and has always been closely associated with the forest. DOLL contributes to efficient forestry management on a number of levels. The company’s capability and innovative strength are brought home once again with the short-timber bolster model on show at the IAA.
On Stand F17 in the outdoor exhibit area DOLL is showcasing a bolster-design short-timber model with DOLL MAMMUT stakes and an Epsilon short timber crane, mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Actros. Characteristic features of this superstructure are its robust, completely bolted front wall, bolted subframe, pre-drilled to the dimensions of all today’s truck manufacturers, with crane underbody which in turn is designed for the various brands and types of crane.
A further exhibit on the DOLL stand is the 2-axle tandem trailer compact design. This compact design gives this vehicle excellent manoeuvrability, making it particularly well suited for hilly terrain, its manoeuvrability is especially effective in winding terrain and when reversing. Reducing to the maximum length required allows savings in terms of weight, giving the optimum payload for the quantity of timber to be transported, and it goes without saying that neither the level of quality nor any safety aspects have been neglected in this.
