Working hours in forestry increased by 6 percent in 2010

  Forestry Contractors’ work in the forest has increased while the self-activity work by small-scale forest farmers has gradually decreased, according to a survey conducted by Swedish Forest Agency.

According to the Forest Agency’s annual survey on employment in forestry, the number of hours worked in forestry increased by 6 percent in 2010. The increase can be attributed to the work among forestry contractors. While, self-activity among small-scale and in the large-scale forestry slowly decreasing the work among contractors is increasing from year to year.
