RENEXPO - Meeting point of the wood energy sector
The 12th RENEXPO® International Energy Trade Fair will take place from September 22nd - 25th, 2011 in the Messezentrum Augsburg. The RENEXPO® covers the entire spectrum of regenerative and decentralized energy production, intelligent energy distribution and energy efficiency. The event will showcase the energy supply and energy use of the future with its four main exhibition themes of wood energy (IHE® WoodEnergy), cogeneration (interCogen®), solar technology and sustainable buildings on 22,000 m2 of exhibition space.

The IHE® WoodEnergy has grown into the leading industry meeting point for the wood energy sector and has become a central platform for networking and exchanging
information on an international level. It presents a comprehensive overview of the entire value chain of wood. Key themes of the IHE® WoodEnergy include wood recycling, energy wood production, wood carburetors, heat and power production with wood pellets, wood chips and logs as well as fireplaces, pellet ovens and tiled stoves.
Forums and special exhibitions
The Pellet Forum will return again this year, this time in collaboration with the Deutschen Energieholz- und Pelletverband e.V. (DEPV), as will our “Day of Agriculture”, offering trade fair visitors free presentations on the topic of “Energy Efficiency and Energy Production in Agriculture”. This year‘s RENEXPO® will feature the premiere of the special exhibition “Energy Wood from Short Rotation Forestry” presented in collaboration with the Bavarian State Institute of Forestry (LWF) and the Short Rotation Forestry Network. The interCogen® is the section of the trade fair that is dedicated to cogeneration technology. A collaborative booth for the cogeneration sector will be presented in collaboration with the Bundesverband Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung (B.KWK). This central communication platform offers manufacturers and distributors the perfect opportunity to showcase their newest products and developments.
Trade conferences
The conferences taking place alongside the trade fair will give select experts in the industry the opportunity to share promising innovations, future trends, cutting edge technologies and practical solutions to over 800 conference participants. The 7th Conference on Small and Midsize Wood Gasification will once again unite experts in the sector for a fruitful information exchange. The BBE Conference for Wood Energy is one of the annual highlights of the RENEXPO® and will once again be presented by the Bundesverband BioEnergie e.V. (BBE). This leading industry conference will take place for the 11th year in a row and provide a comprehensive overview of wood energy production.
